Jordan certificate attestation in the UAE is needed before a Jordanian degree, Tawjihi certificate or family document can support a UAE work permit, family visa, professional license or equivalency application. Wordcraft arranges the Jordanian steps and the UAE Embassy in Amman while you stay in the UAE. Because most Jordanian documents are already in Arabic, a translation is often unnecessary.

Jordanian Documents Most Often Attested for the UAE

Jordanian teachers, engineers, doctors, accountants and business owners make up one of the most qualified communities in the UAE, and almost every one of them needs a Jordanian document attested at some point. The work is less about language and more about sequence: the right Jordanian body has to sign off before the UAE Embassy will act. The documents we see most often:

  • Degrees, diplomas and transcripts from Jordanian universities and community colleges
  • The General Secondary Education Certificate (Tawjihi) and other school certificates
  • Birth, marriage, divorce and death certificates, and family books
  • Non-conviction (good conduct) certificates
  • Experience certificates and letters from professional associations
  • Powers of attorney and company documents issued in Jordan

Jordan Certificate Attestation Route (2026 Digital Process)

  1. The Jordanian authority behind the record: the higher-education ministry for university degrees, the education ministry for Tawjihi and school certificates, or the civil status department or a court for personal documents.
  2. Jordan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs: it authenticates the stamp of that authority.
  3. UAE Embassy in Amman: it legalizes the document for UAE use and now completes the UAE MOFA attestation digitally at the same time, so a separate MOFA attestation in the UAE is rarely needed.
  4. Use in the UAE: the attested document goes to the employer, school, ministry or court. For degrees, the next step is often a UAE equivalency certificate.

Transcripts and some professional documents need an extra verification step on the Jordanian side, which we flag before starting.

Arabic Documents: When Is Translation Needed?

Jordanian civil and school documents are generally issued in Arabic and are accepted in the UAE as they are. Degrees and transcripts are a different matter: many Jordanian universities issue them in English, which most UAE employers accept, although some courts and government departments ask for an Arabic version. When that happens, our Arabic–English legal translation team of MOJ-certified legal translators prepares it. The reverse can also apply, with an Arabic Jordanian document needing an English translation for an application abroad.

How We Quote a Jordanian File

The time a Jordanian file takes is set almost entirely by the Jordan-side steps: which body verifies the document and how busy the UAE Embassy in Amman is. Rather than guess, we look at the actual document. Send a photo of it (and, for a degree, the transcript and Tawjihi if an equivalency application will follow), and the route and expected timing come back in a written quote within 10–30 minutes.

Who in the UAE Uses Attested Jordanian Documents

  • Teachers, engineers and health professionals applying for UAE licenses or equivalency
  • Employees whose work permit needs an attested degree for the job title, covered under educational certificate attestation
  • Families sponsoring a spouse or children, who need attested marriage certificates and birth certificates from Jordan
  • Parents moving children from Jordanian schools into UAE schools
  • Investors and companies relying on Jordanian powers of attorney or company documents in the UAE

Frequently Asked Questions

Do Jordanian documents need translation for use in the UAE?

Usually not. Documents issued in Arabic are accepted as they are. Only documents, or parts of them, in another language may need a legal translation, and only when the receiving authority asks.

Is MOFA attestation in the UAE still needed for a Jordanian degree legalized in Amman?

Rarely. The UAE Embassy in Amman now adds the UAE MOFA attestation digitally when it legalizes the degree, and we confirm this for your document in the quote.

Do I need to travel to Jordan to attest my certificates?

No. You hand over the original in the UAE, and we coordinate the steps with the Jordanian authorities and the UAE Embassy in Amman.

Is attestation enough, or do I also need equivalency for my Jordanian degree?

For many jobs attestation is enough. Teaching, engineering, health and some government roles also need a UAE equivalency certificate, and that application requires the attested degree first.

How long does Jordan certificate attestation take?

A Tawjihi certificate and a university transcript go through different Jordanian bodies, so the time varies. The written quote for your document gives the expected timing.
