The office is up in a tower rather than at street level, so most Abu Dhabi customers begin on WhatsApp. They send a photo, get the quote, and come in only when an original has to be handed over or signed.
Getting to Hamdan Street
Hamdan Street (officially Hamdan Bin Mohammed Street) is one of the main commercial roads of downtown Abu Dhabi. It runs a few blocks inland from the Corniche, parallel to Khalifa Street. Tell the taxi driver "Al Ghaith Tower, Hamdan Street", then take the lift to the 17th floor and look for Office 1760.
- From the Corniche or Khalifa Street: Hamdan Street is a short drive inland from either.
- From the mainland (Musaffah, Khalifa City, Mohammed Bin Zayed City): cross to the island and head downtown, allowing for bridge traffic at peak times.
- Parking: downtown streets use paid public parking, and spaces along Hamdan Street go quickly. A taxi is often simpler.
The tower sits in the downtown grid of offices, banks and shops, a few minutes from the Corniche. If the trip into the city is the hard part, our courier can collect the originals instead; the collection slot for your area is confirmed when you order.
Attestation at Our Abu Dhabi Office
Degree, school, birth and marriage certificates and company papers pass through Hamdan Street on their way to Abu Dhabi employers, schools and courts. The route depends on where the document was issued:
- Issued abroad: authentication in the home country, then the UAE embassy or consulate there, which now completes the UAE MOFA attestation digitally in the same step. In most cases no separate MOFA step is needed once the document reaches the UAE.
- Issued in the UAE, for use abroad: digital MOFA attestation, verifiable online, then the destination country's embassy.
- Arabic translation: added by an MOJ-certified legal translator when the receiving authority asks for it.
See certificate attestation in Abu Dhabi and MOFA attestation in Abu Dhabi. For Indian or Philippine documents, the country routes are on Indian certificate attestation and Philippine document attestation. The UAE is not a member of the Apostille Convention, so an apostille on its own does not make a foreign document valid here.
Legal Translation and ADJD Notary Support
Abu Dhabi runs its own judicial system, the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD), separate from the federal courts. Court filings, family cases and notarized documents follow ADJD practice, and our Hamdan Street translators work to it: names exactly as in the passport, stamps described, court terms consistent from page to page.
- Legal translation in Abu Dhabi: Arabic and English above all, and also Urdu, Malayalam, Hindi, Tagalog and 150+ other languages.
- Notary public Abu Dhabi: we draft powers of attorney, affidavits, undertakings and agreements in Arabic and English and book the ADJD session, in person or by remote video where ADJD allows it.
- ADGM notary: for companies registered in Abu Dhabi Global Market, which has its own courts and notary.
We prepare the paperwork. The notarization itself is carried out by the ADJD notary or another licensed notary, never by Wordcraft.
Company Setup and PRO Work for Abu Dhabi Businesses
The Hamdan Street team sets up Abu Dhabi mainland and free zone companies and keeps existing ones running: license renewals, activity and partner changes, MOA amendments with the matching notary step, and staff files with MOHRE and ICP. Many of these transactions run through TAMM, Abu Dhabi's government services platform. See business setup in Abu Dhabi and our PRO services, which cover Abu Dhabi companies as well.
Visa and Residence Services at Our Hamdan Street Office
Residence visas for people living in Abu Dhabi are processed by ICP, the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security. Dubai uses GDRFA instead (how ICP and GDRFA differ). From Hamdan Street we handle:
- Golden visa files for professionals, investors and property owners
- family visa, spouse visa and parents visa sponsorship
- renewals, cancellations and Emirates ID applications, including medical and biometrics bookings
The same branch attests and translates the supporting certificates, so a family visa file can move from marriage certificate to submitted application without changing hands.
Abu Dhabi Authorities and What We Prepare for Each
| Authority | What it handles | What we prepare |
|---|---|---|
| Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD) | Courts and notary public | Legal translations, bilingual POAs and affidavits, session booking |
| TAMM | Abu Dhabi government services platform | License, family and residency applications filed online |
| Abu Dhabi business licensing authorities | Mainland trade licenses | New licenses, renewals, MOA amendments |
| ICP | Residence visas and Emirates ID | Visa and ID applications with supporting documents |
| UAE MOFA | Digital attestation | Online submission and a verifiable e-attestation |
| MOHRE | Work permits and labor contracts | PRO filing for employers |
Check the source when in doubt: ADJD, TAMM, ICP and MOFA. Your quote names the authorities your document will pass through.

Frequently Asked Questions About the Abu Dhabi Office
Where is Wordcraft's office in Abu Dhabi?
On the 17th floor of Al Ghaith Tower, Hamdan Street, in Office 1760. Call or WhatsApp +971 50 616 0468, or use the toll-free number 800 9673.
Is the Abu Dhabi office a full branch or a collection point?
A full branch. The Hamdan Street team quotes, translates, attests and prepares notary, company and visa files itself, with support from our Dubai head office.
Can you attest my Indian or Philippine degree for use in Abu Dhabi?
Yes. The home-country steps and the UAE embassy step take place in the issuing country; we arrange them, add an Arabic translation if the employer or school asks for one, and hand the documents back in Abu Dhabi.
Can the Abu Dhabi office help with notarization at ADJD?
Yes. We draft the document in Arabic and English, translate any foreign-language papers and book the session with the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department. The ADJD notary, or another licensed notary, notarizes it.
Do you translate Arabic to English for Abu Dhabi courts?
Yes, in both directions. Court papers, judgments and family-court documents are translated by MOJ-certified legal translators and carry their stamp and signature.
Can I apply for a Golden visa through the Hamdan Street office?
Yes. For Abu Dhabi residents the application goes to ICP. We check which Golden visa category fits, prepare the attested and translated documents, and file it.
Do I need to visit the tower?
Usually not. Almost everything can be done on WhatsApp and online. We only need originals for attestation or when a signature is required, and we collect them free.
What are the Abu Dhabi office's opening hours?
Monday to Friday 8:30 AM–7:00 PM and Saturday 8:30 AM–4:00 PM; closed on Sunday. Message us before you come so your documents and quote are ready.
Is there parking near Al Ghaith Tower?
There is paid public parking on the surrounding streets, but it fills up at busy times. A taxi is usually easier, or you can skip the trip and send the documents on WhatsApp.
