Urgent translation in Dubai is realistic for many documents: same-day delivery is often possible for single-page certificates such as birth, marriage or police certificates, while longer files are scheduled around your deadline. Wordcraft handles express orders in Arabic, English and 150+ languages, and urgent legal translations still get a second-linguist check and an MOJ-licensed translator's stamp.

Put your deadline in the first message. The written quote, sent within 10–30 minutes, states what can be ready by then. Every delivery time mentioned on this page means the time confirmed in that quote, never a general promise.

Urgent Translation in Dubai: What Can Be Done the Same Day

Four things decide whether a translation can be finished today: the length of the document, the language pair, how legible the copy is and what time it reaches us. As a working guide:

  • Usually possible the same day: single-page civil documents such as birth and marriage certificates, police clearances, driving licenses, salary certificates and short letters, especially between Arabic and English.
  • Often possible with express handling: degree certificates with transcripts, short contracts, powers of attorney and tenancy agreements.
  • Planned as a scheduled order: long contracts, court files, tender documents and evidence bundles, split so the most urgent pages go out first.

An order that arrives mid-morning with a sharp scan has a much better chance than the same document sent late in the afternoon as a blurred photo. Speed never removes the checks: an urgent legal translation is proofread and certified exactly like any other, because a rushed translation that gets rejected costs more time than it saved.

What Cannot Be Done the Same Day

Some jobs cannot honestly be squeezed into a single day, whatever the budget or goodwill. Knowing which ones saves you a wasted trip:

  • Multi-page contracts and court bundles. A 40-page agreement or a file of evidence needs its terminology agreed and a full second read. We split it, deliver the pages your lawyer needs first and schedule the rest.
  • Documents that must be attested before translation. A certificate issued abroad goes through its home-country steps and the UAE embassy before we translate it. Those offices keep their own timelines, and translating early usually means paying twice. Our guide Translate or attest first? explains the order.
  • Rare languages. A document in Tigrinya, Dhivehi or an old handwritten script needs a specific linguist working alongside our legal translators, and that person may not be free today. The quote tells you plainly.
  • Documents that still need a notary or court step. The translation itself may be quick, but notary appointments and court stamps run on their own slots. We time the translation so it is ready for the next appointment, and we say so if the whole chain cannot finish by your date.

When a deadline cannot move, the quote spells out which parts come first and which follow, so you can plan the hearing, appointment or flight around real dates.

Court Deadlines, Visa Appointments and Travel

Court deadlines. Onshore UAE courts need Arabic versions of foreign-language evidence and documents. Send the papers as early as you can with the filing date, and we work through the pages your lawyer needs first. See also legal translation in Dubai and court document translation.

Visa and Emirates ID appointments. Family visas and renewals often stall because one certificate lacks an Arabic translation. Single certificates are our quickest orders; the document translation hub links a guide for each type.

Travel. Flying out with a document that must be translated first? Give us the flight date. If attestation is also involved, our express attestation team can say whether both steps fit before you leave.

After-Hours Help: Our Ras Al Khaimah Branch Until 10 PM (Mon–Fri)

Deadlines rarely respect office hours. Our Ras Al Khaimah branch in Al Nakheel stays open until 22:00 from Monday to Friday, three hours after the other branches close.

BranchMonday to FridaySaturdaySunday
Dubai HQ (Al Twar Centre)8:30–19:008:30–16:00Closed
Abu Dhabi (Al Ghaith Tower, Hamdan Street)8:30–19:008:30–16:00Closed
Sharjah (Al Majaz 2)8:30–19:008:30–16:00Closed
Ras Al Khaimah (Al Nakheel)8:30–22:008:30–16:00Closed

You do not have to drive to Ras Al Khaimah to use those extra hours. Documents can go to any branch by WhatsApp, so a customer in Dubai or Abu Dhabi who misses the 7 PM close can still send an evening order to the RAK team and receive the quote the same evening. The stamped paper copy can then be collected from your nearest branch or delivered. See legal translation in Ras Al Khaimah for the branch itself.

How to Speed Up Your Order

Most delays on urgent jobs come from the first message, not the translation. Four steps on WhatsApp keep things moving:

  1. Send every page in one go. Front and back, stamps and seals fully visible, photographed flat in good light. Cut-off corners mean we have to ask again.
  2. Add the essentials in the same chat: a passport copy for name spelling, the authority that will receive the translation and your deadline.
  3. Approve the quote and pay through the link straight away. Work starts on confirmation, not on the first message.
  4. Take the digital file first if the authority accepts it. The certified PDF is sent as soon as it is stamped, and the paper copy follows.

The whole order runs through our online certified translation system, so you can check progress instead of phoning for updates.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you translate a document the same day in Dubai?

Often, for single-page certificates, especially between Arabic and English. Your quote confirms whether same-day delivery is possible for your document.

Is an urgent legal translation still MOJ-certified?

Yes. Express orders go through translation, a second linguist's proofread and certification by an MOJ-licensed legal translator, just like standard ones.

Are you open in the evening or at the weekend?

The Ras Al Khaimah branch is open until 22:00 Monday to Friday, and all branches open Saturday 8:30–16:00. We are closed on Sunday, but you can still send documents on WhatsApp and our support team replies around the clock.

Can I receive the translation by email or WhatsApp?

Yes. The final file is sent digitally, and the stamped hard copy can be collected or delivered free when the authority needs paper.

My document also needs attestation. Can it still be urgent?

The translation can be fast, but attestation depends on the issuing country and the embassy, so it usually sets the pace. Tell us your date and we will say in the quote what is achievable.
