Wordcraft provides MOJ-certified Arabic to English and English to Arabic legal translation in Dubai, accepted by Dubai Courts, the Ministry of Justice, government departments, notaries and embassies. Arabic is the official language of the UAE, so almost every legal, court and government document must be translated to or from Arabic by a licensed legal translator. Our certified Arabic-English translators handle contracts, certificates, court documents and powers of attorney with complete accuracy and confidentiality — with free pickup and delivery across the UAE.

UAE courts and government bodies accept Arabic-English legal translations only when they are stamped by a translator licensed by the UAE Ministry of Justice (MOJ). A regular or machine translation (such as Google Translate English to Arabic) will be rejected for any official use. Every Wordcraft Arabic translation is MOJ-certified, so your document is accepted the first time.

Arabic-English Translation Across the UAE

We provide certified Arabic and English translation in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah, with free document pickup and delivery in every emirate. Standard turnaround is 1–2 working days, with a same-day Express option for urgent documents.

For all other legal documents and languages, see our main Legal Translation in Dubai service page.

Documents You Need

  • A clear scan or photo of every page of the document you need translated — front and back, including stamps, seals and any handwritten notes
  • A copy of your passport, so names are spelled exactly as they appear in it
  • The name of the authority that will receive the translation (court, ministry, embassy, bank, school or free zone), so we format it to that authority's requirements
  • Any earlier translation or attestation stamps on the document, so names and terms stay consistent
  • The original document, kept ready — some authorities ask to see it alongside the certified translation

How It Works — Step by Step

  1. Send your document on WhatsApp or email, or drop it at any of our four offices — Dubai HQ (Al Twar), Abu Dhabi, Sharjah or Ras Al Khaimah.
  2. Get a free quote within 10–30 minutes confirming the language pair, the receiving authority and the delivery time — before any work starts.
  3. Translation and review — a legal translator translates your document between Arabic and English and a second linguist proofreads it.
  4. Certification — the translation is stamped and signed by an MOJ-licensed legal translator.
  5. Collection or free delivery — pick it up from our office or use our free pickup and delivery. If the receiving authority asks for it, we can also arrange notarization or MOFA attestation.

Who Needs This Service

Arabic is the official language of UAE courts and government departments, so English documents often need a certified Arabic translation — and Arabic documents issued in the UAE need an English translation when they go to an embassy, a foreign bank or an overseas university. Typical cases:

  • Residence, family-visa and Golden Visa applications
  • Court cases, police matters and legal notices
  • Property transfers, tenancy contracts and bank requirements
  • Company formation, MOAs and commercial contracts
  • School admission and certificate equivalency

UAE Arabic Documents for Use Abroad

Arabic to English translation is not only for newcomers. Residents who are leaving the UAE, Emiratis studying or investing abroad, and companies expanding overseas all need UAE Arabic documents in English (or another language) for foreign authorities. The documents we translate most often in this direction are:

  • Police good-conduct certificates for immigration to Canada, the UK, Australia and Europe (see police clearance certificate translation)
  • Family book (khulasat al qaid) extracts for Emirati families dealing with foreign universities, embassies and banks
  • Court papers: divorce, custody and inheritance judgments, and commercial judgments to be enforced abroad (see court judgment translation)
  • UAE birth certificates and marriage contracts for passport, citizenship and spouse-visa files
  • Salary certificates, employment contracts and bank letters for foreign visa and mortgage applications

Documents going abroad usually need MOFA attestation and, where the destination requires it, the destination embassy's legalization. Some countries also require a translation by their own sworn translator, so check before ordering. Our guide Translate or attest first? explains the order. Customers in the capital can use our Arabic to English translation in Abu Dhabi at the Al Ghaith Tower office.

English Documents for UAE Courts and Notary

In the other direction, English documents are accepted by many UAE departments as they are, but not by the onshore courts. A contract, bank statement, email chain, medical report or company resolution in English that is filed in a Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah or RAK court case needs a certified Arabic translation, and the court reads the Arabic. Notaries also work with Arabic: powers of attorney, declarations and agreements signed by English speakers are normally prepared in Arabic and English side by side. We translate the English into precise legal Arabic, keep defined terms and party names consistent, and can arrange the notary appointment in the same order. For agreements see contract translation, and for the notary step see our notarization services.
