Complete Your Embassy Attestation in Dubai
One partner for the whole legalisation journey — embassy, MOFA and translation together.
Documents You Need
- The original certificate or document (not a copy)
- A copy of the certificate holder's passport
- For educational certificates: the transcripts or mark sheets, if the issuing authority or your employer asks for them
- A copy of your UAE visa or Emirates ID, if you are a resident
- The country the document comes from — or the country where it will be used — so we route it through the right embassy or consulate
- A signed authorisation letter, if Wordcraft handles the home-country and embassy steps for you
How It Works — Step by Step
- Send a scan on WhatsApp or email — we confirm which embassy or consulate is involved and send a free quote within 10–30 minutes.
- Hand over the original at any of our four offices — Dubai HQ (Al Twar), Abu Dhabi, Sharjah or Ras Al Khaimah — or use our free pickup.
- Preliminary attestations — the steps the embassy requires first: home-country authentication for foreign documents, or the digital UAE MOFA attestation for UAE documents going abroad.
- Embassy or consulate attestation — we submit the document and follow it up until it is legalized. For documents issued abroad, the UAE embassy in that country now completes the UAE MOFA attestation digitally in the same step.
- Translation, if required — a certified legal translation by an MOJ-licensed legal translator when the receiving authority needs it.
- Delivery — collect the attested original from our office or receive it through our free delivery.

Two Kinds of Embassy Attestation
"Embassy attestation" means two different things, and it matters which one you need:
| UAE Embassy abroad | Foreign embassy in the UAE | |
|---|---|---|
| Direction | Documents issued abroad, coming into the UAE | UAE documents going abroad |
| Where it happens | The UAE Embassy or Consulate in the issuing country | The destination country's embassy or consulate in Abu Dhabi or Dubai |
| Before it | Home-country authentication (notary, ministry, foreign ministry) | Digital UAE MOFA attestation |
| MOFA | Now included digitally at the embassy step in most cases | Completed before the embassy step |
| Read more | UAE Embassy attestation | UAE document attestation for abroad |
This page is about the second kind, working with foreign missions in the UAE. If you need to attest UAE documents for use abroad, start here; for the first kind, our team coordinates the UAE Embassy step for documents from 50+ countries.
Foreign Embassies and Consulates We Work With in the UAE
After MOFA attestation, we submit UAE documents to the missions our customers need most, including those of India, Pakistan, the Philippines, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Egypt and European countries, and to other embassies and consulates on request. Each mission sets its own rules. Some take submissions directly and others through an appointed service center; some need a translation into their language first; a few do not legalize incoming documents at all and rely on the MOFA attestation. Two missions publish their requirements in detail: the Consulate General of India in Dubai and the Consulate General of Pakistan in Dubai. We check the current requirement for your destination before you pay, and our Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah offices all accept documents for embassy attestation.
Typical Cases: UAE Birth Certificate for an Indian Passport, UAE Degree for the Philippines and More
- UAE birth certificate for an Indian passport: MOFA attestation, then the Indian mission through its appointed center, with an English translation where needed; see birth certificate translation.
- UAE degree for a job in the Philippines: education authority verification, MOFA, then the Philippine Embassy or Consulate.
- UAE marriage certificate for Pakistan: MOFA, then the Pakistani mission, with translation from Arabic.
- UAE trade license for a tender in Egypt: certification, MOFA, then the Egyptian mission; see UAE trade license attestation.
- UAE police clearance for immigration: MOFA, then the destination embassy where required.
Not sure which case is yours? Send a photo of the document and the destination on WhatsApp, and we reply with the route and a written quote in 10–30 minutes.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is embassy attestation?
Embassy attestation is the step where the UAE Embassy or Consulate in the country that issued your document legalises it — and it now completes the UAE MOFA attestation digitally in the same step, making the document legally valid for use in the UAE. For UAE-issued documents going abroad, the destination country’s embassy or consulate in the UAE attests them after UAE MOFA.
Which embassies do you handle?
We process attestation through all major embassies and consulates in the UAE — including Indian, Pakistani, Philippine, UK, US and European missions.
How much does embassy attestation cost?
Costs vary by country and document, as each embassy sets its own fee. Wordcraft confirms the exact embassy fee plus our service charge before starting.
How long does embassy attestation take?
Typically 2–5 working days depending on the embassy. We track the status and keep you updated.
