Singapore certificate attestation in UAE is required before a Singapore degree, polytechnic diploma, birth or marriage certificate, or ACRA company document can be used for a UAE visa, professional license or company formation. The document is notarized where needed, authenticated in Singapore and legalized by the UAE Embassy in Singapore. Wordcraft coordinates each step, with a free written quote within 10–30 minutes.

Personal Files and Corporate Files

Singapore and the UAE are closely linked in finance, fintech, shipping, logistics and aviation, and many Singaporean and Singapore-based companies run Middle East operations from Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Their documents fall into two groups: personal documents for employment and family visas, and corporate documents (the ACRA business profile, constitution and board resolutions) for opening a UAE branch or free-zone entity.

Singapore issues apostilles for Apostille Convention countries, but the UAE is not a member, so a Singapore apostille is not what UAE authorities accept. Documents for the UAE follow the legalization route and finish at the UAE Embassy in Singapore. Our post on the UAE and the Apostille Convention has more.

Notary, Academy of Law, Embassy: The Singapore Sequence

  1. Notarization, where needed. Private documents, copies and many corporate documents are certified by a Singapore notary public first.
  2. Singapore authentication. Done by the competent Singapore authority; for notarized documents this is usually the Singapore Academy of Law.
  3. Singapore Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where required. Legalization for countries that are not Convention members.
  4. UAE Embassy in Singapore. Legalization for use in the UAE. The embassy now normally completes the UAE MOFA attestation digitally, and a separate MOFA attestation in the UAE is therefore usually skipped.
  5. Arabic translation, if the UAE office requires one, before submission.

The Singapore steps depend on the document, so the route for yours is confirmed before work begins. For the embassy's digital attestation, read UAE embassy attestation.

English Singapore Documents and When Arabic Is Required

Singapore documents are in English, which many UAE employers and free zones accept. Mainland licensing authorities, courts and notaries often want Arabic, particularly for company constitutions, board resolutions and powers of attorney. Our legal translation team in Dubai, all MOJ-certified legal translators, translates the attested document with every seal and legalization. For company files, see commercial document attestation.

Singapore Attestation FAQ

Is a Singapore apostille accepted in the UAE?

No. Singapore documents for the UAE go through the Singapore legalization steps and the UAE Embassy in Singapore.

Do I need a notary for my Singapore degree?

That depends on the document and the route. Some documents are notarized first; others can be authenticated directly. The quote tells you which applies.

Do Singapore documents need an Arabic translation in the UAE?

Not always. Employers and free zones often accept English, while mainland authorities, courts and notaries tend to need Arabic. We check before you pay.

Is a separate MOFA attestation needed after the UAE Embassy in Singapore?

Usually no, because the Singapore embassy step includes it digitally. We confirm this for each document.
