Tunisia certificate attestation in UAE is needed before a Tunisian diploma, birth extract, marriage contract or bulletin n°3 can support a UAE work permit, professional license, family visa or school place. Tunisia legalizes the document and the UAE Embassy in Tunis completes the UAE step. Wordcraft handles both, adds French-to-Arabic legal translation where required, and quotes the route free within 10–30 minutes.

Tunisian Documents We Attest

  • University diplomas (licence, master, diplôme national d'ingénieur, doctorat en médecine) and transcripts
  • Baccalauréat and other school certificates
  • Birth extracts and family civil-status records
  • Marriage contracts, divorce judgments and death certificates
  • Criminal-record extracts (bulletin n°3)
  • Tunisian work and salary certificates, and powers of attorney
  • Company registration documents and board resolutions

Engineering and Medical Degrees Get a Close Look

Tunisian engineers, doctors, IT specialists, teachers and hospitality professionals are a growing presence in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. Many studied in Tunisia's French-language higher-education system, so a typical file combines Arabic civil-status records with French diplomas and transcripts, and sometimes an engineering or medical degree that a UAE licensing body will examine line by line.

Each document is reviewed before submission: which Tunisian authority must attest it, and whether the UAE office needs a translation. Originals travel to and from you at no charge anywhere in the UAE.

Tunisia Certificate Attestation Route for the UAE

Tunisian documents for the UAE are legalized rather than apostilled, because the UAE is not a member of the Apostille Convention. The general chain:

  1. Signature certification, where needed. Private documents such as work certificates or powers of attorney are usually signed and certified at the competent municipal office first.
  2. Competent ministry, where required. Some academic documents go through the higher-education ministry.
  3. Tunisian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Authentication of the Tunisian signatures and seals.
  4. UAE Embassy in Tunis. Legalization for UAE use; the current digital process normally includes the UAE MOFA attestation here.
  5. Legal translation, if required, then submission.

Steps differ by document, and the route for yours is confirmed before you pay. An older document legalized on paper may still need MOFA attestation in the UAE. The newer digital embassy step is covered on our UAE embassy attestation page.

Translating Tunisian Documents From French

Tunisian civil-status records are normally in Arabic and are generally accepted in the UAE without translation. French diplomas, transcripts and company documents usually need an Arabic legal translation for UAE ministries, courts and licensing bodies. Our French legal translation team, all MOJ-certified legal translators, translates the attested document with every stamp and legalization.

Tunisia Attestation FAQ

Is a Tunisian apostille enough for the UAE?

No. With the UAE outside the Apostille Convention, Tunisian documents need legalization by the Tunisian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the UAE Embassy in Tunis.

Which criminal-record certificate do UAE authorities ask for?

For Tunisian applicants the extract commonly used is the bulletin n°3. It has to be recent and fully attested, and we confirm the requirement with the receiving authority.

Do Tunisian French-language diplomas need translation?

Usually yes. The Arabic legal translation is prepared by our MOJ-certified legal translators once attestation is complete.

Can the process be done while I am in the UAE?

Yes. Give us the original and an authorization letter, and the Tunisian steps are arranged from here.

How long does Tunisia certificate attestation take?

It depends on the document type and the Tunisian authorities concerned. A realistic estimate comes with the free quote.
