Ukraine certificate attestation in UAE is needed before a Ukrainian diploma, birth or marriage certificate, civil-registry extract or notarial power of attorney can be used for a UAE visa, job, license, school place or company file. Ukrainian ministries legalize the document, then the UAE channel currently accepting Ukrainian documents. Wordcraft checks that channel, handles both stages and the Arabic translation, with a free quote within 10–30 minutes.
Ukrainian Families and Professionals Based in the UAE
Since 2022 many Ukrainian families, IT specialists, entrepreneurs and professionals have made the UAE their base, and many brought only part of their paperwork. The documents they need most are diplomas for employment visas and licenses, marriage and birth certificates for family sponsorship and school admission, and notarial powers of attorney for property or business matters in Ukraine or the UAE.
Ukraine issues apostilles for Convention countries, but the UAE is not a member, so a Ukrainian apostille alone is not accepted here (why the UAE does not accept apostilles). Ukrainian documents for the UAE must be legalized, and because arrangements for the UAE step have been affected by the situation in Ukraine, we confirm the channel that is accepting documents when you apply.
How Ukrainian Documents Are Legalized Now
- Notarization, where needed. Private documents, copies and powers of attorney are usually certified by a Ukrainian notary first.
- Competent Ukrainian ministry. The justice or education authority responsible for the document legalizes the signature.
- Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Legalization for use abroad in a non-Convention state.
- UAE step. Legalization through the UAE mission or channel currently accepting Ukrainian documents. If that is the UAE Embassy under the digital process, the UAE MOFA attestation is normally included; otherwise MOFA attestation in the UAE may still be needed.
- Ukrainian-to-Arabic legal translation, then submission.
We confirm the exact route for your document before starting. The digital embassy model is explained on our UAE embassy attestation page.

Documents issued in Russian during earlier periods go to our Russian legal translation team.

Ukraine Attestation FAQ
Can Ukrainian documents be attested for the UAE at the moment?
In most cases yes, though the UAE-side channel has been affected by the situation in Ukraine. We confirm which channel is accepting documents when you apply.
Is a Ukrainian apostille accepted in the UAE?
No. Ukrainian documents must be legalized for the UAE instead of apostilled.
I have a newer civil-registry extract instead of the original certificate. Is that acceptable?
Extracts are often used, but requirements depend on the purpose. We check which document the receiving office wants before starting.
Do I need MOFA attestation in the UAE?
That depends on the UAE channel used. If the UAE Embassy completes the digital attestation, usually not; otherwise it may be needed, and the quote says which.
How long does Ukraine certificate attestation take?
It depends on the document and the channel available. The free quote gives a realistic estimate for your case.
