Uzbekistan certificate attestation in UAE is needed before an Uzbek diploma, school certificate, birth or marriage certificate, police certificate or company document can be used for a UAE work visa, license, family visa or business setup. Uzbek authorities legalize the document, then the UAE Embassy in Tashkent. Wordcraft coordinates both and the Arabic legal translation from Uzbek or Russian, with a free quote within 10–30 minutes.

One Name, Three Spellings

Uzbek nationals are one of the fastest-growing communities in the UAE, working in construction, hospitality, retail, transport, healthcare and IT, and more of them are opening their own companies. As they move into skilled roles, employers and licensing bodies ask for attested diplomas, and families need attested civil-registry certificates for sponsorship.

Uzbek documents may be in Uzbek (Latin or Cyrillic script), in Russian, or bilingual. The same name can therefore appear three ways across a diploma, a birth certificate and a passport. We compare the spellings before submission and make the Arabic translation follow your passport, because name mismatches are among the most common reasons for rejection.

Uzbek or Russian Into Arabic

UAE authorities generally require Uzbek documents in Arabic. Russian-language and bilingual documents go to our Russian legal translation team, and Uzbek-only documents to our Uzbek linguists; all pairs are listed on our translation languages page. Each translation is completed by MOJ-certified legal translators, covers all stamps and legalizations, and uses the passport spelling of your name.

Uzbekistan to UAE: The Legalization Route

Uzbekistan issues apostilles for Convention countries, but the UAE has not joined the Convention (our apostille guide explains), so documents for the UAE are legalized:

  1. Notarization, where needed. Private documents, copies and powers of attorney are usually certified by an Uzbek notary first.
  2. Competent Uzbek authority. The Uzbek justice or education body in charge of that document legalizes the signature.
  3. Uzbek Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Legalization for a country outside the Apostille Convention.
  4. UAE Embassy in Tashkent. Legalization for use in the UAE, which under the current digital process includes the UAE MOFA attestation in most cases; a separate MOFA attestation in the UAE is then unnecessary.
  5. Arabic legal translation and submission in the UAE.

The exact steps for your document are confirmed before any work begins. More on the digital embassy step: UAE embassy attestation.

Uzbekistan Certificate Attestation: Frequently Asked Questions

My documents use different spellings of my name. Is that a problem?

It can be. Uzbek documents may use Latin, Cyrillic or Russian spellings, so we check them against your passport before submission and keep the translation consistent. Occasionally a supporting document is needed.

Is an Uzbek apostille accepted in the UAE?

No. Uzbek documents are legalized by the Uzbek authorities and the UAE Embassy in Tashkent.

Can you translate from Uzbek, or only from Russian?

Both. Russian and bilingual documents are usually translated from Russian; Uzbek-only documents directly from Uzbek.

Is a separate MOFA attestation needed after the UAE Embassy in Tashkent?

Normally no. The Tashkent embassy step includes it digitally, as your quote will confirm.

How long does Uzbekistan certificate attestation take?

It depends on the document and any notary step. The free quote gives you a realistic estimate.
