Wordcraft provides MOJ-certified Chinese legal translation in Dubai — trusted by clients needing a certified Chinese translator and Mandarin translation services in the UAE. Our certified Chinese translators handle contracts, certificates, court documents and powers of attorney with full accuracy, and our translations are accepted by UAE courts, the Ministry of Justice, government departments and embassies. We translate both Simplified and Traditional Chinese (Mandarin).
Why Choose a Certified Chinese Legal Translator
Legal documents demand precise terminology. A single mistranslation can invalidate a contract or delay a court case. Our Chinese legal translators are licensed by the UAE Ministry of Justice (MOJ), so every translation is accepted the first time.
Chinese Documents We Translate
- Contracts, agreements and company documents
- Court judgments and legal notices
- Powers of attorney (POA)
- Birth, marriage, divorce and death certificates
- Degree, diploma and experience certificates
- Passports, ID and residence documents
- Medical and insurance reports
Chinese Translation Across the UAE
We provide certified Chinese translation in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah, with free pickup and delivery. Standard turnaround 1–2 working days; same-day Express available.
For all languages and document types, see our main Legal Translation in Dubai page.
Documents You Need
- A clear scan or photo of every page of your Chinese document — front and back, including stamps, seals and any handwritten notes
- A copy of your passport, so names are spelled exactly as they appear in it
- The name of the authority that will receive the translation (court, ministry, embassy, bank, school or free zone), so we format it to that authority's requirements
- Your preferred English spelling of names and places, if you already use one in other official papers
- The original document, kept ready — some authorities ask to see it alongside the certified translation
How It Works — Step by Step
- Send your document on WhatsApp or email, or drop it at any of our four offices — Dubai HQ (Al Twar), Abu Dhabi, Sharjah or Ras Al Khaimah.
- Get a free quote within 10–30 minutes confirming the language pair, the receiving authority and the delivery time — before any work starts.
- Translation and review — a legal translator translates your Chinese document and a second linguist proofreads it.
- Certification — the translation is stamped and signed by an MOJ-licensed legal translator.
- Collection or free delivery — pick it up from our office or use our free pickup and delivery. If the receiving authority asks for it, we can also arrange notarization or MOFA attestation.
Chinese Documents: Who Issues Them, What to Attest and Who Receives the Translation
Our Chinese clients are mostly traders and manufacturers around Dragon Mart and International City, plus corporate staff and their families. Their papers follow the Chinese system, where civil records usually reach the UAE as notarial certificates:
| Document | Issued by | Attest before translating? | Usually submitted to |
|---|---|---|---|
| Notarial certificate (公证书) for birth, marriage, kinship, no criminal record or a degree | Chinese notary office | Yes: foreign affairs authority, then the UAE mission in China | ICP or GDRFA, UAE courts, schools, employers |
| Business license (营业执照), articles and board resolutions | Local market regulation authority; the company for resolutions | Yes, usually through a notary first | DET, free zones, banks |
| Household register (hukou) extract | Public security bureau | Yes, normally as a notarial certificate | Family and residence files |
| Contracts and invoices | The companies involved | Not always; a UAE court or bank may ask for it | UAE courts in trade disputes, banks |
| Driving license | Traffic police of the issuing province | Usually not; RTA asks for a legal translation with the original | RTA and other licensing authorities |
We translate from Simplified and Traditional Chinese and keep Pinyin names exactly as in the passport. The Chinese Embassy in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General in Dubai handle Chinese passports and papers signed in the UAE; certificates issued in China are notarized and authenticated there.
Notary, Foreign Affairs Office, UAE Mission: China's Route
A Chinese record is notarized, then authenticated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or an authorized provincial foreign affairs office, and then taken to the UAE Embassy in Beijing or a UAE consulate in China; that single stop now also produces the digital UAE MOFA attestation. China joined the Apostille Convention in 2023, but the UAE has not, so the UAE mission step remains. The Arabic translation then covers the notarial certificate and every stamp. See China certificate attestation.
When a Chinese File Includes Other Languages
Trading companies often send contracts with Russian or Persian counterparties, and staff families may hold Filipino records. Those can go to our Russian, Persian and Tagalog teams under the same order.
