Bengali legal translation in Dubai means turning a Bangla document, such as a Bangladeshi birth registration certificate, a nikah nama or a Union Parishad certificate, into Arabic or English that a UAE court, ICP, GDRFA or notary will accept. Wordcraft's native Bangla linguists translate the document and an MOJ-licensed legal translator certifies it, so the file is ready to submit.
Most of our Bengali work comes from the Bangladeshi community, with a steady share from West Bengal families whose Indian certificates carry Bengali entries. We also work in the other direction: UAE death certificates, labor settlements and court judgments translated from Arabic into Bengali for relatives and offices in Bangladesh.
Bangladeshi Documents We See Most Often
| Document | Usually issued by | Why a UAE office asks for it |
|---|---|---|
| Birth registration certificate | Union Parishad, Pourashava or City Corporation registrar | A child's residence visa, school admission, family sponsorship |
| Nikah nama | Nikah registrar (kazi) | Spouse visa, family court cases |
| Citizenship, character or warish (heir) certificate | Union Parishad chairman or city ward office | Inheritance cases, supporting identity proof for courts and banks |
| National ID (NID) card | Bangladesh Election Commission | Identity proof alongside the passport |
| SSC and HSC certificates | Education boards | Employment files, equivalency, further study |
Land records such as khatian extracts and deeds, affidavits sworn before a notary in Bangladesh, and company papers for Bangladeshi-owned UAE businesses also reach us regularly.
What Bengali Legal Translation in Dubai Involves
A translation handed to a UAE authority has to carry the stamp and signature of a legal translator licensed by the UAE Ministry of Justice. On Bangla files we pair a native Bengali reader, who can make sense of handwritten Union Parishad entries and old rubber stamps, with the legal translator who certifies the Arabic or English text. Where a word or seal cannot be read, the translation says so instead of guessing.
Bilingual Certificates: Is the English Half Enough?
Many Bangladeshi certificates, including newer online birth registration certificates, print the main fields in both Bangla and English. If the English part is complete, some UAE offices take it as it is. Handwritten Bangla notes, seals, nikah nama clauses and court orders are a different matter and normally need a full translation. We look at your copy and tell you which case applies before you pay anything.
Attest in Dhaka First, Then Translate
A document issued in Bangladesh needs attestation before a UAE office will look at its translation. The chain normally runs from the issuing office or education board to the Bangladesh Ministry of Foreign Affairs and then the UAE Embassy in Dhaka, where the UAE MOFA attestation is now added digitally at the same visit. Translating before the chain is finished usually means paying twice, because the attestation stamps must appear in the Arabic version too. Our Bangladesh certificate attestation team can run the chain for you. There is no apostille shortcut, since the UAE has not joined the Hague convention.
Sending Us a Bangla Document
- Photograph every page of the birth certificate, nikah nama or Union Parishad letter, including the back and each seal, and send it on WhatsApp.
- Add the passport spelling of each name and the UAE office that will receive the file. Your written quote comes back in 10–30 minutes.
- After you approve, the Bangla text is translated, checked by a second linguist and certified. A single certificate is often ready the same day.
Our birth certificate translation and marriage certificate translation pages explain what UAE offices check on those two papers, and legal translation in Dubai covers every other language we certify.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you translate a Bangladeshi birth certificate into Arabic?
Yes. Once it carries the Bangladesh MOFA and UAE Embassy attestation, we translate the certificate and its attestation stamps into Arabic, or into English if the office prefers.
My nikah nama is handwritten. Can it still be translated?
Yes. The kazi's handwriting, the witnesses' names and the mahr (denmohor) clause are all translated. Any word that cannot be read is marked illegible.
Do you translate warish certificates for inheritance cases?
Yes. Heir certificates from a Union Parishad or city ward office are translated in full, including the list of heirs and how each is related to the deceased, for UAE courts and banks.
My documents are from West Bengal, not Bangladesh. Is that different?
The translation work is the same, but the attestation is not: Indian documents go through the state authority, the Ministry of External Affairs and the UAE Embassy or a UAE consulate in India.
Can you translate UAE papers into Bengali for my family?
Yes. Arabic death certificates, court judgments and labor settlement papers are translated into Bengali for use in Bangladesh or India.
